Smith made 44 at Durham in the T20 |
Lancashire's planning has been key to the excellent start they have made in the FP T20, says Tom Smith. The all-rounder made 67 in the 69-run win against Northants which followed a 23-run victory at Durham. The 24-year-old told BBC Radio Manchester: "The coach, Mooresy, is very keen we work on all aspects of our game when we get the chance. "We had a couple of practice days beforehand and it clicked for us at Durham then again against Northants." He added: "We knew with a quick turn-around from the Championship to Twenty20, there'd be a few sides adapting to it. "So, if we hit it hard and strong, we might get a few wins under the belt and get ahead of the opposition. "We've proved we are a very good team in this competition. "I think, in our first two games, we've hammered our opponents. "We've put a marker down in the group and we'll try to just keep going as we are. "We've started the competition off very well."
