Moores coached England before taking over at Lancashire |
Peter Moores has admitted three early defeats have made it unlikely Lancashire will progress in the Clydesdale Bank 40 competition. The Red Rose county have already lost to Sussex, Somerset and Surrey, with one win against Glamorgan. Lancashire head coach Moores told BBC Radio Manchester: "It's 12 games and we've lost three out of four. "It probably means we've got to win all the rest of our games, near enough. We can't afford to lose any more." He added: "It might be out of our control. We've got Worcester coming up next weekend. "We get a bit of a break now which is good, I think, for the lads to re-charge then train in the week, come back and try to get a win at Worcester. "Because there are quite a lot of games, it depends now how many people beat each other. "If that goes for you and you get another chance to control your own destiny, then great. "But we've got to start winning some games of cricket in this format if we're going to be somewhere near getting a semi-final place in a few months time."
