Loye made his highest County Championship score for two years |
Mal Loye has agreed his form is returning after nearing a first County Championship century in two years. The 36-year-old Lancashire batsman made 84 in the first innings at Nottingham though the home side were 151 runs ahead after two days play. He told BBC Radio Manchester: "I'm getting there. It's better than getting 30 every week which I was doing for a little while. "I'm just pleased to be scoring pretty consistently at the moment." "Obviously, though, it would have been nice to get a big hundred," he added. "I'm feeling better all the time, although it was difficult to play here today on a difficult pitch. "I'm pleased that I'm spending time in the middle and scoring some runs."
