Luke Sutton has praised the approach to tough challenges Peter Moores and Glen Chapple have brought to Old Trafford.

Lancashire went into the game at Trent Bridge on the back of two Championship defeats and with a Friends Provident semi-final imminent.

Sutton told BBC Radio Manchester: "One of the things the captain and the coach have pointed out is on big challenges.

"Rather than let them cripple you with fear, just be excited and see what you can do."

"We knew the championship game at Nottingham was going to be a massive test for us," he added.
