Parnell proved his international credentials in the ICC World Twenty20 |
South African fast bowler Wayne Parnell is returning to Kent for a further five-week spell. He is available from 10 July-4 August, which means he can play in the Twenty20 Cup quarter-finals, three county championship games and a Pro40 match. The 19-year-old left-armer impressed during his initial stint at the St Lawrence Ground earlier in the season. Kent chief executive Paul Millman said: "We are delighted to bring Wayne back because he made a big impact before." Parnell will take on Durham Dynamos in the Twenty20 Cup and Glamorgan Dragons under the floodlights in the Pro40. Kent wanted to keep the paceman for a longer period than just five weeks but the South African Cricket Board refused to release him from his international commitments later in the summer.
