Chairman George Kennedy was disappointed with the amount of support Kent received in their final game as they were relegated from Division One.

Kent went into the final day with five wickets remaining against Durham.

But they lost after just over an hour's play, and Durham were later crowned champions after Nottinghamshire lost.

"I am extremely disappointed our supporters didn't bother to come and encourage us on an absolutely crucial day," Kennedy told BBC Radio Kent.

For those who did come today, I want to give them a huge thank-you. For those who didn't I am quite disappointed."

Captain Rob Key said there was a fine line between a good season and a bad one, as Kent lost two one-day finals and were one match away from promotion in the Pro40.

He told BBC Radio Kent: "It wouldn't have taken much to be the best season I have ever had at Kent.

"All of a sudden we would have won two trophies which is as many as I have won in my whole career at Kent.

"You tend to remember the last month of the season and the last month is not one I look back at with many fond memories."
