Kent insist they will field a full-strength side for their Twenty20 campaign even though it could cost them a place in the Champions League. If Kent reach the Twenty20 final they could be ineligible for the new league because of a ban on players who took part in the Indian Cricket League. That would affect Kent as Justin Kemp and Azhar Mahmood have ICL connections. Spitfires chief executive Paul Millman said: "We've got 10 matches to play before we even contemplate problems." He added: "We've been talking to the ECB since last October and we're aware of what's going on. "There's a bit of work to do and this is a long-term tournament so if there are a few little issues early on so be it." "It's a very exciting concept, so let's no get too hung up about these smaller issues when there's a much bigger picture." Under the rules that could come in only three counties Essex, Middlesex and Somerset would be unaffected because they do not have any players with ICL connections.
