Justin Kemp plays for the Hyderabad Heroes in the ICL |
Kent chief executive Paul Millman is hopeful of overturning the England and Wales Cricket Board's ban on Justin Kemp, which rules him out this summer. Kemp is not allowed to play county cricket because he has played in the rebel Indian Cricket League. But Millman said: "Justin signed his contract with us at the end of 2006, before the ICL was even dreamt of. "We respect the rules the ECB have to work to, but we hope for a compromise, especially in Justin's case." The ECB has also rejected the registrations of Wavell Hinds, Johannes van der Wath, Andrew Hall and Hamish Marshall.
