Ireland skipper William Porterfield says he is happy with the overall performance of his side at the Cricket World Cup in India. "We played some good, consistent cricket during the tournament and are pretty happy with where we are at," said the Irish captain. "We are slightly disappointed that we lost a couple of matches we could have won when our batting let us down. "If we had won those games we could've qualified but that's all in hindsight." Porterfield added that batsman Paul Stirling had "shown great character" by scoring 101 in Friday's six-wicket win over the Netherlands. "We were pretty confident we could reach our target of 307 and for Paul to go out and play the way he played after an indifferent tournament by his high standards was great." Batsman Niall O'Brien said Friday's victory was "a great way to finish the tournament". "We played some great cricket on this tour and Paul played brilliantly in this match - he has a massive future ahead of him."
