Ireland finished 10th at the Under-19 World Cup after losing heavily against Bangladesh in Thursday's Plate Final.

Bangladesh scored a massive 307 for 8 in their innings and the Irish were skittled out for 112 as they suffered a 195-run defeat in New Zealand.

Andy Balbirnie claimed four dismissals while Craig Young, Stuart Thompson also took wickets.

Ireland made a reasonable start but 35-1 soon became 39-5 and Ireland had to battle to get beyond 100.

Ben Ackland top-scored with 34 not out while Graham McDonnell (31), Stuart Thompson (20) and Paul Stirling (11) also got beyond double figures.

Ireland 10th place finish was their best ever in the history of the Under-19 World Cup.
