Paul Stirling produced a fine batting display |
Ireland made it a hat-trick of one-day international victories over Kenya by winning Sunday's match by four runs on the Duckworth-Lewis method in Dublin. Ireland batted first and made 256-7 off 50 overs, Paul Stirling top-scoring with 84 and John Mooney adding 42. Kenya made 240-6 off 46 overs in reply, with Collins Obuya ending not out on 78 and Morris Ouma making 61. Andrew White and Boyd Rankin took two wickets apiece as Ireland added to their two earlier wins at Clontarf. Regan West ended not out on 29 and Kyle McCallan not out 26 as Ireland set the visitors a testing target. Thomas Odoyo took two wickets for Kenya. The Irish went into the game without top bowlers Trent Johnston and Alex Cusack but Rankin ended up with figures of 2-65 and White 2-32. Ireland now have a five-week break until their next game - an Intercontinental Cup game against Scotland in Aberdeen on 17 August.
