Ireland did not get a chance to gain revenge over Zimbabwe when their Tri-Nations match in Nairobi was abandoned without a ball being bowled. The batting area at the Gymkhana ground was covered, but heavy overnight rain left the outfield waterlogged. Both Ireland and Zimbabwe received two points apiece from the washout. Ireland, who lost by 156 runs to Zimbabwe in their opening match, take on Kenya on Wednesday, seeking to build on their 86-run win last Saturday.
