Ireland crumble to heavy defeat

Kevin O'Brien top-scored for Ireland with 38 in Nairobi

Ireland suffered a heavy 156-run defeat at the hands of Zimbabwe in their opening Tri-Series match in Nairobi.

Zimbabwe hit 102 runs in their final 12 overs as they finished with a total of 303 for eight wickets.

Zimbabwe opened with off spinner Prosper Utseya and he got the early wickets of William Porterfield (10), and Andre Botha (21).

Ireland were on 49-4 and were all out for 147, with Kevin O'Brien's 38 the top score of the innings.

The Irish are back in action on Saturday against Kenya.
