Andre Botha fell just 23 runs short of the record score for an Ireland batsman as the Intercontinental Cup game against Scotland ended in a draw. Botha was stumped on 186 as he chased the 209 set by Eoin Morgan against the United Arab Emirates in February.
Alex Cusack marked his first class debut with a sparkling 130 in the Belfast game badly curtailed by rain.
Ireland scored 473-7 in reply to Scotland's 314 all out and take nine points with three going to the Scots.
