Mascarenhas has played 11 one-day internationals for England

Hampshire skipper Dimitri Mascarenhas has said he is keen to retain the captaincy next season.

In his first season in charge, the all-rounder led his side to third place in the County Championship and second in the Pro40 Division One.

Mascarenhas told BBC Radio Solent :"It took me a while to get into but the lads responded to me and hopefully things will get bigger and better."

"I've learnt a lot, I'm enjoying it now and keen to crack on."
