Hampshire's parent company Rose Bowl plc has made another financial loss, BBC Radio Solent understands. The company have yet to record a profit since cricket began at the West End venue in 2001. "Our income is dependant on major match days and we had only the one international match day," said Hampshire chairman Rod Bransgrove. "We'll have lost a bit in the last trading year but I don't want to forecast how much that is just yet." "The figures are only disappointing if they are unexpected. We knew we were in for a tough year last year. "We were not far away from where we wanted to be. Nonetheless we think we are making some pretty big strides forward. "Other aspects of our business continue to improve and we are striving for this current trading year to produce a break-even result. "The development of the ground signals an entirely different and new future for us, and will leave all these loss making years behind us. Two years ago Hampshire announced a loss of almost �1m. A year later finances were turned around and a near break-even figure was reported.
