Hampshire consider change of name
Hampshire
Hampshire chairman Rod Bransgrove says they are considering changing their team name in Twenty20 cricket.

The county currently play as Hampshire Hawks in all forms of one-day cricket.

Bransgrove told BBC Radio Solent: "I would not like to drop all the tradition of English cricket in the more conventional forms of the game.

"But I see Twenty20 as a sort of franchise so I wouldn't rule anything out. It has brought a new audience so we treat it slightly differently."

Yorkshire have already announced they will be known as Yorkshire Carnegie in one-day cricket this season.

Their name change from Yorkshire Phoenix follows a "significant investment" from Leeds Metropolitan University.
