Hampshire spinner Shaun Udal has decided to retire from the game at the end of the season. The 38-year-old, who played four Tests and 11 one-day matches for England, has had limited chances at Hampshire this year because of Shane Warne's presence.
He told BBC Radio Solent: "It was a case of if he's back again next year do I want to put up with the same again?
"Or (do I) go out when I want to go out and hopefully leave a mark when I am still playing decent cricket?"

Udal took over 700 first-class wickets during his 18-year Hampshire career.
He played his first one-day international for England in 1994, but did not make his Test debut until November 2005 at the age of 36.
His call-up for the 2005 autumn tours to Pakistan, and subsequently India, came after lifting the C&G Trophy for Hampshire.
But the off-spinner's taste of the Test team was short-lived despite a fantastic performance in the last Test against India in Mumbai.
His figures of 4 for 14, which included the prize wicket of Sachin Tendulkar, helped secure an unexpected victory to tie the series.
