Croft made his first-class debut for Glamorgan in 1989 |
Glamorgan spinner Robert Croft has signed a one-year extension to his contract which will keep him at the club until 2009. Croft, 37, who took his 1,000th wicket in first-class cricket this year, says he still has the desire to win.
"I've got my sights set on taking many more wickets for the club, as well as continuing to score runs," he said.
"I'm keen to be part of the side as we turn around our form of the past few seasons and become successful again."

Croft was crowned Glamorgan's player of the year award for 2007 after reaching his 1,000 milestone and finishing the summer as the leading England-qualified spinner with 56 wickets.
The veteran has more England caps than any other Welshman and captained Glamorgan for four years before stepping down at the end of 2006.
His most successful seasons for Glamorgan in first-class cricket came in 2002 when he scored 747 runs, and in 1996 where he took 76 wickets.
Glamorgan's cricket manager Matthew Maynard said: "I'm delighted that Robert has signed up, especially as he is still at the top of his game.
"He's also got a lot of experience, both at county and international level, which he can help to pass on to the younger players."
