Maynard believes the good times will return at Glamorgan |
England batting coach Matthew Maynard has backed Glamorgan's young talent to deliver a brighter future to the struggling Welsh county. "There are three or four youngsters there who can have a good future in the game," said the ex-Glamorgan captain.
"Of those, one or two have the chance to forge a good career at international level, though luck plays a part."
Maynard's 17-year-old son Tom won the Glamorgan academy player of the year award this week.

"Tom's had a good season with a lot of centuries," said Maynard senior.
"He wants to play cricket for a living and an award like that so early in his career will be a great incentive.
"I was very fortunate to have 20 years doing something I loved, and I couldn't wish anything better than to see him following in my footsteps.
"There's no doubt that there'll be more pressure on him early in his career with comparisons being made to the way I played the game.
"But he's good enough to get over that and forge a career of his own."
