 Walker's new deal will see him spend a third season with Essex |
Essex batsman Matt Walker has signed a a contract extension with the club. The 36-year-old, who joined Essex from Kent in 2009, has committed for an additional year, until the end of 2011. Walker has scored more than 700 first-class runs for Essex this season as well as 211 in the CB40 and 375 in the Friends Provident t20. Essex coach Paul Grayson told the club website: "He has probably been one of the most consistent performers this season in all forms of cricket."
