Essex all-rounder Tim Phillips has signed a one-year contract to keep him at the county until the end of 2010. The 28-year-old left-hander and spinner will continue his association with the club which dates back to 1999. Phillips was a regular in Essex's Pro40 squad last season taking 12 wickets and hitting 64 runs from eight matches. "When he is fit he gives good contributions throughout a campaign, I know Tim is looking for a big season in 2010," said Essex coach Paul Grayson.
