Kaneria will return to Essex for a fifth season

Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria has been cleared to play for Essex for the rest of the summer.

Kaneria, who started his Essex career in 2004, has not played so far because he was waiting for a visa.

He is a 13-man squad for the County Championship match against Kent, starting on Wednesday (29 April).

The 28-year-old told the county website: "I am really looking forward to coming over to England and specifically to Chelmsford."
