Essex have moved to bolster their batting line-up by signing Kent's Neil Dexter on a month's loan. The 23-year-old South African born right-hander will go straight into the Essex squad for their Twenty20 Cup opener with Surrey on Wednesday. "He's a good player, a guy that I've seen a lot of in second team cricket," said coach Paul Grayson. "He got a hundred last week for Kent in the quarter-final against Somerset so he's in form." Grayson added: "He's initially signed for a month, but with a view to maybe extending that."
