Kent's Friends Provident Trophy hero Neil Dexter hopes his century will force selectors to consider him for a regular first-team place. Dexter, who scored an unbeaten 101 in Kent's 37-run win over Somerset, got a late call-up when Martin Van Jaarsveld pulled out for personal reasons. "At the beginning there were nerves but once I got rid of that I played my natural game," the South African said. "I've been hitting well in the nets and am feeling better than I ever have." He added: "I've still got to show people that I can play. It's been hard in the second team with the rain and that." Kent will now face Durham in the semi-final at the Riverside on 4 July.
