Derbyshire head of cricket John Morris insists his side have not given up on making the Twenty20 Cup quarter-finals despite Tuesday's defeat by Durham.
Derbyshire are bottom of the North Division and must win their last three games to stand a chance of progressing.
But Morris told BBC Radio Derby: "We're not a defeatist team. We have to give ourselves a chance to qualify.
"We will play our strongest team in our next game against Lancashire and see if we can get a result."
