Berkshire must avoid defeat at Devon in their final Minor Counties Championship match of the season to reach the final.

After holding on for a draw this week against Oxfordshire, Berkshire stay top of the Western Division, eight points clear of Devon.

Berkshire also play in the final of the MCCA Knockout Cup against Herefordshire at Lord's this month.

"We will focus on the three-day game and then we can look at Lord's," captain Bjorn Mordt told BBC Berkshire.

"We want to make sure we get the job done in Devon but it's going to be an unbelievable finish to our season."

Mordt is hopeful Shaun Udal will be fit for the two fixtures after the spinner sustained an ankle injury in the draw at Banbury.

"Shaun is a very influential player and, from my point of view, I'd love to have him fit and ready to go," added Mordt.

"I believe he will be playing down at Devon and at Lord's."

Set a mammoth 489 for victory against Oxfordshire, Berkshire had to rely on the youthful last-wicket pairing of Luke Beaven and Tom Parsons to see out the final 22 balls of the innings to secure the draw.

Mordt continued: "We were on the back foot for all three days but we showed a lot of guts to come out with the draw."
