McLean made 13 First Class appearances for Hampshire
Batsman Jono McLean hailed the current Berkshire team as one of the best he has played in.
McLean scored 139 on his 31st birthday as Berkshire beat Wiltshire by 132 runs to record their third win out of three.
He told BBC Berkshire: "There's a great team spirit here and this team is certainly up there with some of the best I've played in.
"The centuries keep getting better each time. Scoring a hundred on my birthday doesn't get much better."
Wiltshire were set 455 to win after Berkshire's second innings of 295 for 3, which included McLean's 139 off 160 deliveries, but succumbed for 324.
Berkshire seamer Tom Parsons took three for 61, to give him six wickets in the match. The other wickets were shared between spinners Chris Peploe, Shaun Udal and Luke Beaven.
"All the boys contributed in all areas, which is important for when we get into tough situations," McLean added.
Berkshire are now 32 points clear of their nearest rivals Devon at the top of the Western Division of the Minor Counties Championship.
Berkshire's next game starts on Sunday 24 July when they host fourth-placed Herefordshire at Finchampstead Cricket Club.
