Heavy rain prevented any possibility of play on day two of Somerset's County Championship match against Durham.

That meant the home team were unable to add to their overnight total of 287-4, of which Marcus Trescothick scored 128.

The fact that play was possible at Trent Bridge and Scarborough added to Somerset's frustration.

The West Countrymen currently lie second in the County Championship, only four points behind Nottinghamshire, but having played one match more.
