Veteran off-spinner Robert Croft took a hat-trick to finish the game as Glamorgan beat Gloucestershire by 176 runs inside three days at Cheltenham. Croft (4-20) trapped Vikram Banerjee and Steve Kirby lbw either side of bowling Gemaal Hussain. Earlier, Glamorgan moved their second innings from 183-7 to 371 all out, with Mark Wallace making 113. Set 345 to win, the hosts slipped to 60-5 before Chris Taylor (63 not out) resisted, but Croft had the last word. Glamorgan added 88 runs in the opening 21 overs of the day, with Wallace moving to three figures from 116 balls, with 13 fours and a six. Set a notional victory target, the hosts were given a good start through a half-century stand between openers Will Porterfield and Jon Batty. But James Harris (3-73) persuaded Porterfield to slip and he, along with Huw Waters (3-29) ripped through the Gloucestershire top order. Taylor and Jon Lewis (24) stalled the Glamorgan charge before Croft wiped up the tail in one swoop.
