Croft takes his 1,000th first-class wicket for Glamorgan
Robert Croft claimed his 1,000th first-class wicket for Glamorgan, but day two of their match with Leicestershire at Swansea was ruined by the rain.
After the morning session was washed out, the visitors resumed on 225-5 and quickly lost Tom New.
Croft then had Wayne White caught behind to achieve the double of 1,000 wickets and 10,000 runs for Glamorgan.
The visitors were bowled out for 247, before Gareth Rees and Mark Cosgrove took Glamorgan to 45-0 at stumps.
After play began at 1340 BST, New fell courtesy of a diving catch by wicketkeeper Mark Wallace off James Harris before Croft reached his landmark by having White caught down the leg-side.
The former England international was given a standing ovation and was joined on the pitch by club president Peter Walker and Don Shepherd, Glamorgan's leading wicket-taker, to toast the achievement with champagne.
The 40-year-old off-spinner joins Trevor Bailey, Tony Brown, Tom Cartwright, Ray Illingworth, Derek Morgan, John Mortimore, Peter Sainsbury and Fred Titmus in doing the 1,000-wicket/10,000-run double in county cricket in the post-war era.
Rain stopped play 10 minutes later, keeping the players in the pavilion until 1700 BST.
On the resumption, David Harrison and Dean Cosker mopped up the tail before Rees and Cosgrove guided Glamorgan to the close.
