Durham kept the pressure on FP t20 North Group leaders Nottinghamshire by easily beating Yorkshire.

Captain Andrew Gale (28) ensured Yorkshire got off to a rapid start before being dismissed by Albie Morkel.

Morkel, Ben Harmison and Ian Blackwell all took two wickets as the visitors' innings stagnated to 131-8.

Tino Best dismissed Phil Mustard and Blackwell in his first over, but Ross Taylor (49) and Dale Benkenstein (57no) ensured Durham got home by six wickets.

Taylor and Benkenstein followed their unbroken partnership of 117 against Leicestershire on Monday by putting on 101 in 11 overs for the third wicket.

Taylor fell when trying to cut Adil Rashid, who then had Ben Stokes brilliantly caught at deep mid-wicket by Best.

But Benkenstein remained as Durham strolled home with 4.5 overs to spare.

BBC Newcastle's Martin Emmerson gives his verdict:
"Just over a week ago Durham were blown away by Yorkshire. Their nine-wicket defeat at Headingley was their worst in the shortest form of the game.

"However it seems to have spurred Geoff Cook's side on because they have now won three in a row and in emphatic style too. Yorkshire were on the end of a pretty big seeing-to here.

"Next up for Durham it's a mouth-watering clash with Notts on Sunday and they expect at least 6,000 fans through the doors to see that one. I can't wait for it."
