Sussex completed a comprehensive 207-run win over Gloucestershire just after lunch on the third day at Bristol to set the early pace in Division Two.

The hosts resumed on 12-1, needing 315 more to complete an unlikely victory.

But they were never in the hunt as they slumped to 40-5 before eventually being bowled out for 119, with only James Franklin and Steve Snell passing 20.

Corey Collymore and James Anyon both took three wickets as Sussex wrapped up a third straight win since relegation.

But it already looks like it could be a long season for Gloucestershire, who have suffered heavy back-to-back home defeats in their first two games, passing 150 with the bat only once.

There was little resistance from the moment Kadeer Ali lost his off stump to Rana Naved-ul-Hasan.

Collymore then got to work, pinning Chris Dent lbw and having Hamish Marshall well caught at first slip by Matt Prior, before Joe Gatting took a catch at second slip off the former West Indies paceman to dismiss Chris Taylor.

Alex Gidman and James Franklin added 40 before Franklin became the game's 18th lbw victim to an Anyon ball that kept low.

Gidman slashed to Murray Goodwin at point off Robin Martin-Jenkins, who then had Jon Lewis caught behind to leave the home side 92-8 at lunch.

And Anyon wrapped up victory after the interval by catching Snell off his own bowling before having Gemaal Hussain caught in the slips by Prior.
