Glamorgan batsman Jamie Dalrymple hit a century to stifle Derbyshire after a middle-order collapse threatened on day two at Derby's County Ground. He ended the day with a 59-run stand with Robert Croft, who notched 24, and had earlier skittled the Derbyshire tail to end with figures of 4-74. Derbyshire hit 300 before they were dismissed, and made a bright start with the ball with Glamorgan at 166-6. However, Dalrymple's efforts held them up to leave the match in the balance.
