Dippenaar hit 10 fours and two sixes in his 89

Boeta Dippenaar made an impressive 89 to help Leicestershire build a good first innings score after their match with Kent finally got underway.

After two days of rain, Leicestershire eased to 351-6 by the end of day three, with HD Ackerman (67) and Tom New (55) also contributing with the bat.

Simon Cook (3-52) was Kent's most successful bowler as the visitors struggled to break Leicestershire down.

But a draw looks almost certain with one day left to play at Grace Road.
