Sussex 184-9 beat Surrey 163-9 by 21 runs (Sussex 2pts, Surrey 0pts)

Wright hit two sixes and five fours in his 46-ball 58

Luke Wright hit 58 and Michael Yardy took three wickets as Sussex beat Surrey by 21 runs in the Twenty20 Cup.

After winning the toss the visitors racked up 184-5 from their 20 overs with opener Chris Nash (40) also amongst the runs.

Scott Newman (38) and Mark Ramprakash (23) then helped Surrey to 71-1.

But both men fell to Yardy (3-21) for the addition of just one run as he and Yasir Arafat (2-26) helped restrict the home side to 163-9.
