Durham found their Friends Provident Trophy form too late at they beat Group C winners Gloucestershire by four wickets at the Riverside. Gloucester recovered from 72-5 to make 254-8 thanks to a county one-day record sixth-wicket stand of 175 between Steve Adshead (87) and James Franklin (85). Ian Blackwell top scored with 64 as Durham got home with 11 balls to spare. Phil Mustard (57), Dale Benkenstein (44) and Kyle Coetzer (36) were all in the runs too as Durham reached 255-6. Gloucestershire were already through to Saturday's quarter-finals, having won the group.
