Jacques Rudolph's magnificent double century steered Yorkshire to 530-6 and put them on course for a crushing win over Warwickshire at Scarborough.

His unbeaten 208 from 293 balls, with 27 fours and two sixes, gave Yorkshire a lead of 401 at the end of day two.

It cheered the home crowd after the disappointment of seeing debutant Inzamam-ul-Haq fall for eight, caught behind off James Anyon's bowling.

Tim Bresnan finished on 87 not out on a day of toil for the visiting side.

There were also half centuries for Anthony McGrath and Adil Rashid as Yorkshire rattled along at more than four and a half runs per over.

Michael Vaughan was one of their few failures, perishing the same way as Inzamam for five runs.
