Hampshire 455-9d & 103-8d bt Worcestershire 86 & 187 by 285 runs
Points: Hants 22, Worcs 3James Bruce and Shane Warne took four wickets apiece as Hampshire ran through Worcestershire to complete a huge 285-run victory within three days.
Starting the day on 24-0, still 448 runs behind, the visitors got off to the worst possible start with four batsman falling for just 10 runs.
Bruce was magnificent in his opening spell, taking 4-41, before Warne (4-28) polished off the middle order.
Only Graeme Hick (69) made a score of note as the Pears fell to 187 all out.
The writing was on the wall when Bruce removed Stephen Moore and skipper Vikram Solanki in the second over of the day, and when Phil Jacques was caught at slip for 10 Hampshire were cruising.
Hick added some much-needed aggression and resilience with a 72-ball 69, including 11 fours and a six, and he added 70 for the seventh wicket with Roger Sillence.
However, the veteran fell to Warne and the lower order collapsed as Hampshire maintained their title challenge with a comprehensive victory.
