County Championship D1, Worcester, day two (close): Worcestershire 191 v Durham 313 & 291-5
Run machine Michael Di Venuto helped his new county Durham to a dominant lead of 413 at 291-5 second time around against Worcestershire at New Road.
The 33-year-old left-hander, who made a century on day one, was soon back at the crease after Steve Harmison took 3-52 to dismiss the home side for 191.
Harmison shone with a spell of 3-21 in 11 overs, and Graham Onions took 3-47.
Di Venuto hit 15 fours in his 83 before out sweeping, and Dale Benkenstein and Philip Mustard then added 71.
Overnight batsmen Graeme Hick and Steve Davies adopted a positive approach on day two with five fours off the first eight balls.
But Onions played on to a low one from Onions and Hick top-edged Harmison to long-leg.
Harmison then trapped Roger Sillence next ball but Doug Bollinger kept out the hat-trick and took Worcester past the follow-on target.
