County Championship D2, Cardiff, day two (stumps): Glamorgan 296-6 v Derbyshire 335
Aussie Mark Cosgrove became just the fifth Glamorgan Championship debutant to score a century, in reply to Derbyshire's 335 at Sophia Gardens.
Cosgrave hit a run-a-ball 114, with 98 scored in boundaries, sharing a 105-run third-wicket stand with Mike Powell.
The patient Powell fell for 100 before stumps, Glamorgan reaching 296-6.
Earlier Derbyshire, who lost six wickets for 21 runs on day one, added 60 for their last three wickets, with Mo Sheikh hitting a doughty 36 not out.
But the visitors' cause was not helped by wicket-keeper James Pipe breaking the middle finger on his right hand while attempting to take a ball from behind the stumps.
He is unlikely to bat in the second innings but Glamorgan have sanctioned a replacement keeper with Lee Goddard being summoned from Derby.
Travis Birt stood in behind the stumps until his arrival.
