County Championship D1, Swansea, day four: Sussex 497-5 dec drew with Glamorgan 301 & 354-3Australian opener Matthew Elliott hit a magnificent 162 to save Glamorgan from a sixth successive Championship defeat.
The left-hander struck two sixes and 19 fours as they held out for a draw against Sussex at Swansea.
Bowled out for 301 during the morning, the Welsh club were forced to follow on but Elliott and Daniel Cherry (87) put on 214 for the first wicket.
David Hemp made 56 and there was time for Sourav Ganguly to open his account with 15 not out as they reached 354-3.
