Dominic Cork put Worcestershire firmly on the back foot early on before Andrew Hall, Steve Rhodes and Ray Price all hit half-centuries for the hosts.

By stumps, Lancashire had reached 58-0 in their second innings to lead by 109.

In theory a result remains a possibility on Sunday, while a draw could mean both sides are relegated.
