Tour match, Dhaka, day one England enjoyed a good start to their final Test warm-up match by bowling out Bangladesh A for 242 on the first day.
Teenage opener Nafis Iqbal made 118 but England stuck to their task well despite a temperature in the 90s.
Durham paceman Steve Harmison picked up two wickets in the morning session and finished with 3-35 from 10 overs.
Spinner Gareth Batty struck the vital blow when he had Iqbal caught by Graham Thorpe as skipper Michael Vaughan tried out seven different bowlers.
England made two changes to their team with Paul Collingwood and Richard Johnson replacing Mark Butcher and Martin Saggers
Butcher was ruled out because of a throat infection, dashing his hopes of spending valuable time in the middle ahead of next week's first Test.
Bangladesh A opted to bat first after winning the toss but Harmison made the initial breakthrough in his third over of the day when Javed Omar was caught behind for nought. His second success was no long in coming as Aftab Ahmed, who had opened his account with a boundary through mid-wicket, edged to Rikki Clarke at second slip.
Rajin Saleh (28) joined Iqbal in a 103-run stand before being caught by wicket-keeper Chris Read and Nazimuddin followed when he was run out for 11.
Iqbal hit a six and 14 fours during his innings, but then slogged Batty to Thorpe with the total on 175.
It sparked a mini-collapse which saw three wickets go down for four runs before Arafat Sunny and Mosaddek Hossain added 40 for the eighth wicket.
Vaughan turned to Collingwood to try and break the stand and he did exactly what his captain had asked of him by having Hossain lbw for 21.
Alamgir Kabir became Johnson's second victim for seven before Harmison returned to end the innings as Sunny's defiant two-hour knock was concluded on 25 by a Nasser Hussain catch.
