Champions Sri Lanka maintained their 100% start to the Asia Cup with a 126-run win over Bangladesh in Dambulla.

Tillakaratne Dilshan set them on their way with a sparkling 71 from 51 balls, featuring 11 fours and a six.

He shared 111 inside 16 overs with Upul Tharanga (54), then Kumar Sangakkara added 52 and Chamara Kapugedera hit two sixes in his 37 in their 312-4.

Tamim Iqbal hit the first three balls for four in reply but was out for 51 in Bangladesh's 186, Dilshan taking 3-37.

It was a second successive defeat for Bangladesh in the four-team round-robin competition also involving India and Pakistan.

The teams play each once before the top two contest the final on 24 June.

Dilshan brought up the Sri Lanka 50 from the first ball of the sixth over but after eight overs of Tamim in full flow Bangladesh were well up with the rate and had 59-1 on the board.

However, the talented left-hander was third out in the 20th over with the score on 104 and the final seven wickets fell within 19 overs.

Bangladesh coach Jamie Siddons was disappointed with another batting collapse and said: "It's a frustrating thing. We pride ourselves on our spin bowlers but our batsmen struggle against part-time or world-class spinners."
