Batting was tricky on a slow and low pitch in Florida |
New Zealand made history on Saturday as they beat Sri Lanka by 29 runs in the first of two Twenty20 games in Florida. It was the first international between two full members of the International Cricket Council on United States soil. New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat at Lauderhill, near Miami, but were restricted by tight bowling, with Ross Taylor top scoring with only 27. But Sri Lanka also struggled and seamers Kyle Mills and Scott Styris ensured New Zealand claimed victory.
