Bracebridge clinch title with win

Cricket

Paul Cook's 73 and Aaron Onyon's 6-31 helped Bracebridge Heath seal a seventh consecutive Lincolnshire Premier League title with a 71-run win over Grimsby.

Second-placed Skegness's losing draw at Sleaford leaves them only six points ahead of Louth who beat Lindum by 12 runs with Nuwan Shiroman making 86.

Andrew Crook smashed through the 1,000 run barrier with 146no in Woodhall Spa's 37-run win at Market Deeping.

Crook's team-mate Warren Nel passed 900 runs with a knock of 78.

Bottom side Caistor look doomed to relegation despite a winning draw at Nettleham, who bounced back on Sunday with a crushing 208-run victory over Messingham, Rob Cook hitting 117 and James McKay taking 5-14.
