There was no play on day two of Devon's Minor Counties game against Shropshire due to heavy rainfall at Shifnal. Thunderstorms before the scheduled 1100 BST start provided a template for the rest of the day, with rain showers continuing throughout the afternoon. Devon now go into the third and final day trailing Shropshire by 282 runs with nine first innings wickets left. The hosts scored 364 in their first innings, assisted by a fluent 145 from opener Ed Foster.
