Shane Warne was a relative unknown at the start of the 1993 series but that all changed with his first ball in a Test on English soil - when he famously bowled a flummoxed Mike Gatting in the opening Test at Old Trafford.
England were no match for Warne - or the rest of the Australia team - in the opening two Tests and although a better performance led to a draw in the third Test at Trent Bridge, another crushing defeat in the fourth Test at Headingley sealed the series in Australia's favour.
Mike Atherton led England to a consolation win in the sixth Test at the Oval but the victory did little to diminish the sense of Australian dominance.
