Knowle and Dorridge beat the weather to open up a 12-point gap at the top of the Birmingham League. While nearest rivals Kidderminster and champions Walsall were being rained off at Gorway, K & D dodged the showers to beat Barnt Green. Between two further rain breaks after a late start, Will Mottram (5-38) and Ben Coley (4-31) bowled out Green for 74. And opener David Smith (27no) saw Knowle and Dorridge secure a four-wicket win on 67-6. Gavin Shephard hit three quarters of his side's runs, with 54 for Green, for whom former Warwickshire all-rounder Dougie Brown took 3-14 in 16 overs. Walsall were badly frustrated by the weather, having reduced Kidder to 9-3 in response to the home side's 164-7 before the weather had the final word on an already rain-reduced 40-over match. Kidder stay second, 12 points behind K & D and seven points ahead of third-placed Walsall. The two other weather-affected games to finish both ended in draws. Andy Lloyd (90) and Jayden Levitt (85) helped Bromsgrove run up 215-5 at Leamington. But the home side claimed a winning draw, by reaching 171-8 in 42 overs, thanks to Lee Hopkins (50) and Alex Phillips (49). Walmley made 166-8 at Moseley, of which Bhavik Patel top scored with 50 but Keith Bell then hit 33 in reply to help Moseley claim a winning draw on 122-6. Just 14 overs were possible in the game between Kenilworth Wardens and Himley, while the M54 derby between Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury was rained off completely at Danescourt. In what was a weather-affected weekend throughout the league, Stratford are top of Division One after three straight wins. Paul Best's 62 helped them knock off Dorridge's 135-7 in another rain-resticted, 28-over match. In Division Two, newly-promoted Brockhampton lead the table, Chris Boroughs took 4-31 and then hit 49 not out to help his side beat Evesham for a third win in as many games. In Division Three, Olton & West Warwicks lead by just four points from Moseley Ashfield, who have also won their first three games.
